Our Visit to the St. Lawrence River

Hitty Jo and Hitty Louise rented a camp on the St. Lawrence River. They invited some of the AGA girls to visit.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the St. Lawrence River in Northern NY,
let us explain the pool: The St. Lawrence is COLD! We mean, COLD!

Come on, share the swim ring!

Why? You two have life jackets! Come on in, the water is fine!

Hitty Connie, smitten with the hula dance, puts on a demonstration for anyone who will watch.

Ring around the Rosy, a Pocket full of posies.....

I want to wear the lei! Nope, sorry. It's part of my hula routine.

Wheeeee! A ride on a riverboat!

Jump! We'll catch you!

Ooopsie...I don't feel so good......stop the boat!

Lunchtime! Guacamole and blue corn chips--dive in girls.

Look at me, look at me! I'm a fairy in a flower!

Charlotte Hitty holds the real fairy, Lala......

who finds that a flower really IS the best place for a nap.

Duck riding is better than getting seasick on the riverboat. Hang on, girls.

Oooof! You're squashing me!

Then get out and let me have the swim ring.

I knew there were big fish in the St. Lawrence, but this large? How ae we going to get an aquarium big enough?

Watch out! Big feet coming!

Look, I'm a fireman!

Eeeek! There's a vicious lobster in this box--run, girls, run!

Hitty Perri Winkle Thompson, you get out of there right now!

Soaking up the sun. (With plenty of SPF 30 Sun Block!)

Water is supposed to come out where?

Help! Someone save Hitty Peri Winkle Thompson...again!

...
Hitty Jo! Hold on, I'll save you!..............................................Come on, just a little further......

Be more careful next time. These ropes are tricksy!

And then, when they got up the next morning, there was a hook on the car door!

Now tell the one about Who Stole My Golden Arm!

Hitty Dani sets up the Scrabble game.

Mrs. Plum looks up a questionable word in the dictionary.

Some of the girls visit a quaint village on the shores of the St. Lawrence.

Hitty Mousie waits for the bait shop to open.

Hitty Peri Winkle! Get DOWN from there.

I see that Hitty Jo has managed to wrest control of the hula outfit.
And she's dancing pretty well, too!

Too tuckered out to hula one more step.

Hitty Tommi and Hitty Connie explore the lighthouse.

The girls had a lovely outing on the St. Lawrence River. They hope you enjoyed it, too.
