Mrs. Plum Series
© 2004 Julie G. DeGroat
Mrs. Plum has asked the Ash Grove Academy to maintain a
page for all of her friends seeking employment
as Hitty housekeepers, cooks, and nannies. She feels very responsible about
sending these ladies out to
take care of Hittys, both for the Hittys, and for her friends themselves.
She wants to make sure the ladies are
trained to her strict standards. She also wants to make sure they go into
loving Hitty homes.
Each of the Mrs. Plum Series Dolls are made of basswood.
They have been hand-carved, and painted by Julie G. DeGroat. The dolls have
had several coats of
Polyurethane Varnish to give them a protective coating.
They have all been signed and numbered for 2005 on their backs.
There will never be two alike!
The recent April 2005 graduates of Mrs. Plum's class.

She enjoys cooking and quilting, and would be a great asset to anyone who needs a competent, tireless Head of Household to manage a Hitty family. She enjoys children, and was the favorite Reader for the AGA Dame School Students. She is interested in seeking a home with many Hittys, as she loves the noise and bustle. |

![]() ![]() #2 enjoys gardening, and is especially skilled at nursing houseplants back to health. She loves reading aloud to Hittys, and even Mrs. Plum was impressed with her Meal Planning and Preparation skills. She would especially like to work in a household that has a large garden and a large kitchen, although she says she will settle for a small kitchen if she is given permission to build it up. |

These ladies are guaranteed to have not only passed Mrs.
Plum's rigorous training sessions, but to have surpassed her expectations!
They are willing to work hard, eager to have some young Hittys in their charges,
and willing to take over the entire running of any Hitty household.
