Mrs. Lovage's Private Room

Before................and.................After!

The top of the wallpaper is in place.

The striped wainscoting is added.

We opted for natural wood trim in this room, as it went well
with the colors in the wallpaper.

The corner shelf hides a very nasty corner---there is a big hinge there!

A built-in bookcase completes the room.

Mrs. Lovage collects dolls, and this room
will be perfect for her collection.

And pictures of dolls, too!

This is going to be a fun place to visit.

This cozy corner is perfect for reading or
sewing. Mrs. L's sewing basket is already
tucked next to her chair.

Mrs. Plum adjusts a picture.

And fluffs a pillow.

"Perfect!" she says to Tottie. "Not a speck of dust on
anything."

What is this? An Eensie in the room?

Well, of course. They heard about the dolls and couldn't resist.

Oh, oh. Standing on the sewing basket?

The other Eensie gives it a try--and oh, no!
Busted!

But Mrs.Plum is wise in the ways of little girls, and merely
holds them up to see the hand-carved Hitty on the top shelf.

The room, finished. Mrs. L's sewing machine was the last item
to be placed in the room.
