Las Historias de los Viajeros Room
(The Room of the Traveler's Stories)
Because Mrs. Lovage has traveled every year to Mexico for her
two-week vacation,
Mrs. Plum decided the common room of the Guest House should reflect
that,
both in name and decor.

It is hard to believe this room could be anything.

But look at the final version!
(Almost final--I intend to make new stuffed chairs and couch.)
Luckily, Mrs. Lovage has had her souvenirs shipped on ahead.
She has no idea Mrs. Plum has used them for this lovely room.

At the starting stage, it is hard to believe it could ever look nice.

The second wall is papered.

The lovely paper has been applied to all the walls...now time for the
trim!

Mrs. Plum chose a terra cotta color to reflect the room's warm, welcoming
aura.

The trim is in--plus, Xander constructed a built-in cupboard
to house some of Mrs. Lovage's collections.

Cupboard before, and cupboard after!

The hand-woven coverlet on the back of the couch is a
gift from Miss MacDonald.

A chess board is ready for players!
