Camp Week 2003 Statistics

We'll keep you posted on daily Camp Events here!

Fun Camp Facts

  • There were 93 Hittys and Friends for the Opening Ceremonies.
  • The set-up for the first Camp Pictures took almost an hour to arrange, because the Thompson girls kept running all over the place.
  • The uniforms weren't done on time, and 16 of the Thompson girls had to go shirtless for the first pictures. (Not that they minded, it was HOT).
  • The Raikes girls were the most helpful in rounding up the littler girls and getting them settled.
  • The two Thompson girls who presented flowers to Great-Aunt Teddie were the contest winners in the 'Why Camp Is Fun' essay contest.
  • The first Hitty to spot Mars through the telescope was Hitty Rachel.
  • The first fish of the Camp Week was caught by Hitty Julie.
  • At the first cook-out, the Hittys and their friends consumed 221 hotdogs (not counting those dropped into the fire) and 17 bags of marshmallows (not counting those burned to a cinder), and drank 12 gallons of milk (not counting the milk spilled across the tables).
  • Not one Hitty fell off the horses when taking their first lessons.
