Why I Love America
by
Hitty Garnetta

I Love America with all the red, white, and blue,
When I see our flag, I know we'll be loyal and true.
It's a shame we don't have world peace,
But to get that way we'll never cease.
America is great in many ways,
Think of the amazing example this country displays!

I love America
It's a great place to live
We all make it what it is
By all that we give.

We dolls do our part
By pleasing our owners,
Everyone needs a doll,
so they won't become loners.

All Hittys enjoy the 4th of July
With flags, fireworks, watermelon
and good old American apple pie.

I love America because we are free
All different places I can see.
Our flag waves high above
The red, white and blue--colors I love.
Men and women fought for us to be free
So I can be whatever I want to be.
I am free to God to pray
Thank God I am an American
and here I will stay.

I love America.
I don't always know why.
Maybe when I Grow Up
I'll understand it better.
Until then,
I'll just be
the
best
American
I
can
be.

In America
Freedom is more than the wind.
So we fly high on it's wings.

In America
We can do what we want to do.
We can be who we want to be.
We can say what we want to say.
We can go where we want to go.
But America is not the land of 'Want'.
American 'Can-Do' is everywhere.

T'was the 4th of July
and all through the camp
not a Hitty was stirring,
no sign of a lamp.

Then high overhead came
a loud whooshing sound
and a streak of orange flame
that woke girls all around.

As the fireworks rose
to surround the lone flier
he zoomed through the skies
going higher and higher!

Hittys heard him command
as he flew out of sight
'Happy Birthday, dear land!
And to all a good night!"

Is this a great country or what?

I love the country, every state and every city.
I'm so happy to live here. My name is Hitty.
I've been across this wide great land.
And I've always had a friend there to hold my hand.
I may be a doll, but I'm a patriot too.

I may wear pink, but my favorite is red, white, and blue.

America is Big,
America is Vast
With lots of flowers,
trees and grass.

I love the hills
and open spaces
And people's happy smiling faces.

I love America
America is free
A country where we can be you and me.

I love America
for it's beauteous land
created for us
by God's own hand.

Land of canyons, Lakes and hills
mountains and fields of daffodils.

Oceans and deserts
plains and trees
wildflowers blooming in the breeze.

Great cities, small towns,
they're all home to me--

All are part of our great country.

I love America
because it's my home
Never very far will I ever roam.
