Swim Try-Outs
| Every year at Camp Ash grove, all of the campers must take a swimming test to determine their level of competence. For instance, anyone who can't swim at all would be in level 1, and only allowed to go to the first ropes, where the water was never more than waist high. Level 2 permits the campers to go past that point, to water that is neck deep. Level 3 permits campers with excellent swimming skills to swim over their heads, to the raft. All campers must past stamina and swim competency levels before they are allowed to move to the next leel of swimming. The tests take place in the school pool. |
