The Adult Reading Room is cozy and bright.

The bitty Boys find a book on explosions!

Which, luckily for us, only mean 'exploded' views of mechanical things!

You can find lots of things besides books in libraries!
Who would have though there would be a jungle gym...

Mr. Giles helps the Campers do some research on animals common to the Camp Piney Woods area. Here is a porcupine.

One can also find beavers--and there is a beaver pond right by Camp Piney Woods!

Pee-yeeow! What if a skunk got into camp?

"Well," says Pepito, "that explains that chirpy noise last night."

Hitty Sierra-Anne reads aloud from Hitty, Her First Hundred Years, while Cuz Britta studies the pictures.

The girls are delighted to find a ladybug book, as there are so many ladybugs in the area.

"Yoo-hoo!" cries Cuz Britta. "Anybody home?"

"Boo!" says Hitty Faith, who arrived at Camp Piney Woods with her very own sleep-in book!

There are other famous literary characters at the library!

Arthur visits with the Hittys.
"I've read about your adventures," he says.
Hitty Faith likes to read Arhtur's adventures!

And who wouldn't want to meet Clifford, the Big Red Dog?

Curious George proves to not only be curious, but very knowledgeable. he tells Mr. Giles about a book in the library on Dragons.

Cuz Britta counts up the number of Campers in the library.

Today's libraries alos have computers. Mr. Giles helps the girls research Camp Piney Woods and the Ash Grove Academy.

How lovely! The library has provided a Hitty-sized place to rest and visit. Isn't that thoughtful?

Mr. Spock finds some interesting books for the Campers.

Hitty Faith has found a book that expresses her feelings about being left in the Post Office all weekend!

The Campers were not allowed to borrow any books because of their temporary nature in the area.
However, Mr. Giles told them not to worry, because the next adventure at Camp Piney Woods
is an all-night (or until 9:00 PM) Read-A-Thon, and there will be plenty of books to go around!
