Some of the Campers went to visit Big Chicken and Feather Rooster.
Big Chicken is acting oddly stand-offish.
"I'm not getting anywhere NEAR that beak!"
Hitty Polly Page speaks with Feather Rooster.
(In case you were unaware--all Polly Page Hittys speak fluent
Bird, a useful language indeed.)
Other Hitty Polly Page calms Big Chickens ruffled feathers.
"I'm not sure I want to be right here!"
"I'm hiding in here until it's time to go," says Bitty Hattie.
Hitty Carianna has taken refuge on top of the Ice Wagon.
Hearing a funny noise, she leaps up and looks behind the Wagon.
It's a bunch of baby chicks!
"No wonder you are so upset," cries Hitty Polly Page.
Once the secret is out, Big Chicken and Feather Rooster call
the chicks out to play.
The Campers are very careful with the chicks.
Big Chicken even gives out free rides.
"Ohhhh! The chickie looks so soft!"
"Feather Rooster is really pretty friendly!"
