Welcome to Camp Piney Woods
in the Wilds of Beautiful Northern New York

June 7--13, 2009

It's a Grand Old Flag!
The Campers celebrate Flag Day.
(June 14th)

Celebrating a day early, but Mrs. Plum said it would be too chaotic tomorrow, with everyone getting ready
to go home. So, some of the Campers stepped forward, and volunteered to help Camp Piney Woods celebrate.

Campers wander in and find seats. Uncle Olaf passes out flags to everyone.

Hitty Charlotte relaxes as she anticipates the show to come.

The girls seem strangely giggly today--even more so than usual.

Hmmm...as soon as they saw me looking they all straightened right up!

Bitty Boo is going to be the flay waver when Hitty Etherea
has her solo--The Star Spangled Banner.

"Wow," says Bitty Muffin. "I always thought
the Statue of Liberty would be taller."

"Ok.....up, up, over, down. Cross, up, up. I can do it."

"Is this seat taken?" asks Bitty Danny Garrish.

Bitty Barbara can't wait for the show to begin.
She plans to do a flag waving demonstration.

"Here you go, Bitty Boy Bobbie!" says Uncle Olaf.

Joe Wears his new paper hat.

The boys don't look very good. I hope they are well!

Front row seats!

Hitty Iris Raikes...is there something you want to say?

Hitty Sandi preps Hitty Helen on the opening demonstration.

Mrs. Plum runs through the song again, as Hitty Etherea
runs through her lines again.

Back in the kitchen, Hittys are scrambling everywhere to make sure
that treats are ready when the presentation is done.

Hitty Pearl is mixing cake batter.

Hitty Jayne is mixing frosting.

And Hitty Petal is looking in vain for those boiled
eggs. I bet the boys had a snack last night!
