Pre-Sorting Check-ups

The New Campers wait for their turn to get a check-up.

Please, Camper Moms--no worries! It is routine at Camp to check all Campers
for open wounds, colds, infectious illnesses, and, well, head lice.
It is interesting to note that we have never had a Camper
show up at Camp Piney Woods with head lice!
But isn't it nice to know the Campers are well looked after?--Miss Figg, Camp Nurse.

Our nurse on staff, Miss Figg, gives a Camper a clean bill of health.
Mrs. Tea gives him a hug and a cookie.

"I heard once they got a Camper with the Black Death," whispers Edgar.
"The whole Camp got infected and a bunch of Campers died!"
"I think he's been talking to Helo," whispers Hitty Nona.
"Yeah, boys!" Hitty Virginia whispers back. "They'll believe anything."

"I hope this doesn't take long!"
"Yeah, it's sort of hot here. Maybe we can go swimming later!
"I'm getting hungry."

"When are they going to let us go get sorted?" says Isabelle.

"Next!" says Mrs. Plum. "Last one, and then it's on to the Sorting!"

Please note: there has never been an instance of Black Death at Camp Piney Woods,
and we have never had any Campers die! It's just one of those rumors that seem to swell up this time
every year. If we can find the AGA Camper responsible for spreading this myth,
we will deal with him/her immediately.--Charlotte Hitty, Camp Coordinator.
