We try to keep accurate records at Camp, so
we know how much milk to order and how many hamburgers to make each
year!

2003--93 Hittys and Friends attended Camp.
2004--146 Hittys and Friends attended Camp.
2005--100 Campers and friends attended Camp.
2006--126 Campers and Friends attended Camp.
More Fun Facts:
- 2001--we only had 12 family Hittys attend camp, amongst
the Cole, McBath, Atkinson, and DeGroat Grasshopper Hittys members!
- 2002--A tipi was bought for Camp Week.
- 2003--At the first cook-out, the Hittys and their friends
consumed 221 hotdogs (not counting those dropped into the fire) and
17 bags of marshmallows (not counting those burned to a cinder), and
drank 12 gallons of milk (not counting the milk spilled across the

- In 2006, the Friendship Swap was initiated. We intend to
have one every year.

- In 2001 the Hittys explored Adam Island (named after Julie
Old Crow's nephew Adam). It perches several feet from the camp, in
Butterfield Lake.
- In 2002, we were still the Grasshopper Hitty Club campers,
with only family members attending Camp.
- In 2003, the Camp was opened to non-family members, and
named Camp Ash Grove.
- In 2002, horseback riding was introduced at Camp.
- In 2004, the Campers visited the Reading, MA Train Station,
and the Reading Library, plus several nights at the Cole Hitty Home.
- In 2003, Buffy Summers and Oz were hired as Camp Staff.
Buffy is the Athletics Director and the Activities Director. Oz helps
out in general, and is a music instructor.
- In 2006, all of the sleeping bags were made and donated
by Nancy Sch.
- From 2001 to the present time, the campers have enjoyed
picnics, fishing, and boat rides. 2001-2002: Butterfield Lake, Redwood,
NY. 2003-2005: Echo Lake, The Farm, NY. 2006: Beaver Pond, the AGA,
NY.
